State Of NM Building One-Stop-Shop Website For Businesses

March 18, 2014

SANTA FE, N.M. – New Mexico is hoping that simplifying its online business processes will help make the state more competitive in attracting business. During this year’s legislative session, Representative Lucky Varela was the House sponsor of Senate Bill 9, “The One-Stop Business Portal Act,” which the governor has since signed into law.

According to Varela, it will enable business people to access state services through a single website.
“This portal would enable you to click on directly to whatever department you need to, for whatever purpose you need,” he said. “If it’s for paying your taxes, getting a license.”
