Rio Grande Foundation backs policies that ‘bode ill’ for workers
The recent Journal column, “Senate leader’s record bodes ill for economic growth” by Paul Gessing is an attack on Sen. Michael Sánchez, a Democrat, filled with outrageous charges that demands a response.
Gessing is president of the Rio Grande Foundation, a so-called “non-partisan” organization. But the fact is, he gets money from out-of-state organizations that are said to receive money from people like the Koch brothers, billionaires who funnel millions for groups, like Gessing’s, that promote partisan big business interests and undermine efforts to improve wages and lives of working people.
Koch money enabled Susana Martinez to get re-elected by convincing poor and working folk to vote against their own interests. Non-partisan, my eye.
