Gov. Susana Martinez has signed into law two bills aimed at helping recruit business to the state.
Senate Bill 106 extends the time a business can carry over a net operating loss from five to 20 years, making New Mexico more competitive with neighboring states, according to the governor’s office.
“We are constantly trying to level the playing field and become more competitive for jobs,” Martinez said in a statement. “By signing today’s bill, we are telling businesses that we are ready for them to come to New Mexico.”
