Feed bill passes: The annual bill that funds the costs of the legislative session unanimously passed the House and the Senate on Wednesday. House Bill 1, which sets aside $16.2 million for expenses such as lawmakers’ per diem and mileage costs and legislative staff, now awaits Gov. Susana Martinez’s signature.
What they wished for: Sen. Daniel Ivey-Soto, D-Albuquerque, had an observation about the new Republican-controlled House of Representatives:
“It’s really funny to hear all the people in the majority in the House complaining about their leadership because they don’t have committees yet.”
