GRANTS – More than 175 people displayed their best denim and “bling” at the 2014 Hall of Fame ceremony, which recognized five community members’ outstanding contributions.
Cibola General Hospital’s “Denim & Diamonds” event honored Margaret Eichman, Arlen Harvey-Ferrer, Ann Matilla, Clemente Sanchez, and Beverly Temple.
Donald Weidemann, hospital CEO, welcomed the audience to the banquet at the spacious Knights of Columbus Hall last Saturday. The festive decorations included tables adorned with white tablecloths, glowing candles, and sparkly ornaments.
The CGH administrator acknowledged the hospital’s history, which spans more than 55 years. “CGH would not be where it is today without the support of our community. On behalf of the entire CGH family, I want to express our gratitude to all of those that have made this hospital a success.”
Chief Nursing Officer Glenna Losito began the awards’ ceremony by recalling Eichman’s influence, “I remember Marge stayed calm no matter what happened. She was always humming during stressful situations.”
